Our mission is for secondary and post-secondary students to achieve a mastery of technical skills in manufacturing in an environment that also teaches leadership, initiative and integrity.
We do this by offering a variety of comprehensive training programs in precision machining that align with the current market demands of our industry partners in search of driven and bright talent.
Our Story
NexTech Academy was formed to fill a substantial skill gap in the industry of manufacturing while also elevating the community around it. The State of Mississippi is estimated to have over 10% growth in machinists year over year until 2032 while the country as a whole projects a 2.1 million jobs could go unfilled within five years.
Change happens when opportunity meets need, and CEO Chris Donovant, identified manufacturing as a long-term solution that fills an enormous domestic skill gap while the opportune workforce serves as the economic driver that lifts individuals, communities and regions out of hardship.

Built with the critical keystone support of Kensington Woods Church of Christ and the generosity of other Church of Christ congregations around the country, along with private and corporate donors, the NexTech Academy curriculum empowers individuals in leadership, initiative and integrity with the lens of discipleship.
